Class Description 

Creative Movement (2 1/2 - 4):

A half hour class incorporating basic motor skills and fun! Dancers will learn concepts including levels, shapes, and speed, as well as getting a taste of ballet, tap and tumbling. General classroom etiquette rules for a dance class are also introduced.

Pre Tap (2 1/2 - 4):

A half hour focusing on musical awareness, beginning terminology of tap, positions of the feet as well as basic rhythms.

Tap (7 - 12):

Learning the intricacy of rhythm along with executing the clarity of tap sound, we strive to teach to use the feet as a percussive instrument.

Hip Hop:

A high energy class using CLEAN hip hop music, usually noted for its bouncy style and vigorous athletics.

Modern/Contemporary:

Focuses on the natural alignment of the body, and is therefore safe and accessible for beginners. At the same time, the ease of movement promoted by contemporary dance technique allows experienced dancers to push new boundaries of body movement. Technique and styles include contractions, moving with a curved spine, and creative jumps, turns and floor work.

Abs & Core:

Focuses on toning and sculpting your core and abdominal muscles.  Each class will focus on improving your flexibility and strength to create the waistline you want!

Zumba:

Zumba® is a Latin Dance-Fitness that fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. Zumba® Fanatics achieve long term health benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in an exhilarating 1 hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life! Routines feature interval training sessions with fast and slow rhythms.
